About Clariti
Maybe you’re using permitting software that hasn’t been updated in years, or it does get updated, but it just makes things worse every time. And when there is an issue, you can’t get a hold of a human for help.
Or, maybe you’re using 5 separate systems to manage your community development process, and none of the systems talk to each other or give you visibility into the process.
Or, perhaps your system is so complex you can’t make any updates yourself, and any little change has to go through support, which slows you and your team down.
I’m sure that’s why you’re here, because you know there has to be a better way.
We hear you, and that’s why Clariti exists. We’re disruptors at our core, and have always done things a little differently, because we refuse to accept that permitting software is inherently painful.
We envision a future where government services are as straightforward and user-friendly as the best consumer applications, which has been the driver behind our product development from the beginning.
It all started in 2008, when a group of government employees set out to create permitting and licensing software that smaller organizations could afford.
From that idea, BasicGov was formed, offering one of the first true cloud-based solutions in the industry, and the first permitting and licensing solution on the Salesforce platform.
We went on to help smaller governments across the U.S. and Canada get more done with the same or fewer resources, and after further investment, made the decision to expand our customer base to include state governments like Ohio, Michigan, and Massachusetts.
Then, in 2020, our next chapter began.
Investment firm Explora Partners acquired BasicGov after its two founders (our now Co-CEO’s) fell in love with the company’s mission, and saw the potential to help governments deliver a better permitting experience.
Later that year, we rebranded to Clariti, which marked a shift in our focus to one of the most important (and complex) areas of local government – community development.
We knew our technology could make a profound difference for governments and their communities, so we made it our sole focus to provide the most comprehensive, configurable community development solution that would solve the challenges of North America’s biggest and busiest departments.
And we did - and continue - to do just that, working with leading governments like Phoenix, AZ, and Orange County, CA, to provide a solution capable of handling the highest permit volume and most complex requirements. A solution that’s truly configurable (with staff able to make many basic updates in-house), easy to use, and able to serve as a one-stop-shop for community development.
But we didn’t want to stop there. We wanted to be able to help governments of all sizes deliver exceptional experiences.
So, in 2023, we acquired Camino Technologies, the leading permitting software provider for small to mid-sized governments in a move that truly solidified our company goal of helping all governments, no matter their size or budget.
And here we’ve arrived at Clariti’s present chapter, where no matter what your department’s needs are, we can help you make big improvements.
Like a long, successful marriage, we promise to be a great and supportive partner through every step of the process, not only providing you with the best technology, but the support and expertise you need to build out the processes that will ensure your long-term success.
